Yarrow's fine, ferny foliage tolerates mowing, making it a low-maintenance native lawn alternative.  The foliage often stays green through the winter months in our climate. It's also a great pick to plant near the vegetable garden. Its flat-topped flower clusters attract beneficial predatory insects, including parasitic wasps, that help keep pest populations in check nearby.
